The Austrian Development Cooperation
Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) supports countries in Africa, Asia and Central America as well as in South Eastern and Eastern Europe in their sustainable social, economic and democratic development. The Foreign Ministry (FMEIA) plans ADC strategies and programmes. The Austrian Development Agency (ADA), the operational unit of ADC, implements these together with public institutions, non-governmental organisations and enterprises.
ADC Themes
Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) contributes to narrowing the rift between rich and poor, ensuring peace and preserving natural habitats. All progress depends on an adequate supply of water and energy. Education opens up new prospects for the future and building democratic institutions brings stability. All ADC programmes and projects take special account of gender equality and the needs of children and persons with disabilities.
